Mounted 2 ammo cans I got at Walmart and gave um a coat of black bed liner to match rack. What ya think? Probably hurt mpg but great to put ratchet straps and tow ropes in.
Tried to figure out a year long issue that got worse today
possible exhaust manifold issue
used a scope and sounded loud at the down pipe that has the cat on it

Holy smokes here’s an update on what I did to my Jeep. Today I put in a new thermostat and ditched the 160F that previous owner had put in and put in a 195F (like Jesus intended lol). I flushed the radiator with some Blue Devil. Tomorrow I’m installing new sway bar end links and bushings (painting them because why not).
previous work later included new pads and rotors on front, new front wheel bearing housing, and tackled some axle u joints (they sucked). Also installed a new header panel.
I haven't driven the old XJ in months now. Parked it until I can go through and fix everything on it. Giving it to my son as a gift when he finishes his GED. Been driving my "new" (2006) TJ around. (Traded my Eclipse GT for it) It's just my beach cruiser.
31 years and the drivers window regulator went poof. Glad I had bought both sides when I had the chance. Found the banging noise, the jack had come out of it's bracket. Still fighting with Rustys over their front springs.
Unfortunately, the OBD only meets the MINIMUM required by the EPA, you have to test the sensors. Yes, around 5V is normal. However, when you start the engine, does the MAP sender voltage readings vary with engine rpm? Only replace components that test bad. Save your money for what you need. DO not guess - your odds are about as good as in a casino in Nevada. This is my drill, because I'm bad at guessing - get your shop manual. Assuming your air filter is clean, spark plugs, cap & rotor and wires are good, check for dangling wires grounding. The wires coming up from the O2 to the fuel rail wiring harness are a good place to start. Then open your shop manual and test your sensors: the temp sensor, idle solenoid ( Idle Stepper Motor), MAP, CPS and TPS. In my experience, the crank position sensor is good - or you stranded by the side of the road - but test it anyway. If they are good and your throttle body is clean, move to the injectors: clean them and test the resistance for each one. You can pull them and use a 9v battery to produce a click unless it's defective.
It was the fuel pump. She now runs even better with new crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, coolant temp sensor, MAP sensor, idle sensor, spark plugs, coil pack, 4 hole Bosch injectors, new pump and filter, clean throttle body and new 800cca battery.

Swapped out my old tints—finally got the Cherokee looking sleek again. Took it to this spot https://www.tintingchicago.com/auto-...ng-naperville/ I found for auto window tinting. They legit do clean work, and it helps with the heat too. Not just for looks, y'know? Been meaning to do it for a while, and now it feels like a whole new ride

Congrats! now you've dropped the fuel tank but, after all of this you must feel a sense of accomplishment
Today was the big day of putting all the parts back after swapping the piece of crap Bendix 9 ABS for a brand new Mc and brake booster on my 1990 XJ. Brake felt good with engine off so I figured I was good to go. Changed up a few vacuum hoses and made everything look nice for the big first brake.
ta da! A piece of crap aftermarket brake booster is apparently broken already in the box. I don’t know how much more I can take actually.
