Hey y'all... I've been searching around on YouTube for the past couple days with very little helpful results. About a month ago I bought a 2012 Grand Cherokee and it still had the factory CD player deck in it. Well it came with a pre-bought infotainment stereo that they hadn't installed yet and I ended up talking the dude a few hundred down if I just installed it myself. I believe it's called a can bus Hiworld, more than likely a deck that was bought off of Amazon or Ebay or the likes, I'm not sure. But I went ahead and replaced the old deck with the new one and that went perfect, however the radio also came with its own backup camera. The Jeep doesn't come with a factory camera so I am doing this from scratch, the website had no useful information on installing it, and the instructions that came with the radio didn't even mention it. The several YouTube videos I came across were all about replacing pre-existing systems, and also it seems the liftgate trim is slightly different from mine. I pulled it into the garage with the intentions of tackling it, but as I was skimming through some final videos before I started there was one guy on a thread that said I needed a certain harness and the wire that only came in a kit from Australia. I'm going to attach a picture of the camera and wires that this came with in hopes that there is someone out there that has done or come across the same setup and can point me in the direction of a good write up or video and maybe some feedback whether I can do this with everything I have or if I have to purchase more things first. I'd love to find this out before I'm stuck driving around for 4 or 5 days with all my paneling tore apart 😅 Thanks a million y'all! (Edit: also, when I shift into reverse, the stereo does register the move, as the screen blacks out with no video message attached. And one more, the small black and white wire with the harness on one end and yellow RCA on the other, not sure if that's part of the camera system as well as the radio also came with a couple options for mounting two USB ports and an amp. Looked like it could be camera related so I just added that in as well)
