2000 XJ oil leak
You'll get better help if you take the time to write complete sentences with proper punctuation. Otherwise it is difficult to understand what you are describing and asking.
It sounds like your starter is getting doused in oil? And there is no visible oil leak from higher locations on the engine? If so, it's likely the adapter seals.

If your starter has oil on it, or it seems to only leak after running, then it could be your oil filter housing gaskets. It is an easy fix, as long as you have the proper tools.
