Just bought a house and the garage isn't perfect but I have all my bike tools and car tools, and everything else stuffed inside. Nice to have a place to call your own. But jaysus, doesn't everything need some fixing

Welcome to home ownership. Houses take more money and require a lot more work then a Jeep does.

Finally got my rock sliders built and welded on. Also mounted my roof rack with my grandson's help.

Why did you make them stick out soo far? Seems like they would get caught on things more than save your rockers.

ssshhhhh!

They re-did the roof, stucco, sewer & copper, electrical panels, water main, and sewer main in the past 5 years so I'm hoping to avoid a lot of the expensive repairs for a while. But yeah, ha ha. I've got stuff to fix all over the place, there is a rear coach house rental that is more neglected. I need to start pulling wires and fixing some masonry work.

We're systematically re-doing every "upgrade" the PO did to our place... thankfully the original major appliances still work and we can cross that bridge later...post jeep

I feel your pain. The guy I bought my house from was an electrical class teacher at a college. Sad to say but a student would have been better off teaching. Everything he touched, especially wiring, is just wrong. Im honestly surprised the house hasnt gone up in flames yet

Our PO was a """""contractor""""". Funnily enough, The last rental we lived in before we bought had a breaker box with would arc to the ground bus with the swamp cooler on; slowly burning away the paint from when they power sprayed the whole place and didn't bother to tape **** up.

Lol. The joys outweigh the complaints though these days. Welp, back on topic.

I found the fan pulley I knew would turn up (after going to the junkyard couple weeks ago to get a replacement). Should've got that '99 intake I saw while I was there. They rotated out that particular XJ from their inventory... '97+ don't show up too often.

I've got a degree in things electrical. House wiring was not part of the curriculum at all. Not even mentioned.

If the guy didn't have sense enough to know what he didn't know, well....
