Added some patriotic bling today.
Wanted to get a "badge" for it, and I had looked into the Trail Rated badge like on the JK's and liberty's, and long short, I linked onto this bad boy. It's metal & has a full thin sticky-tape backing. I was not expecting it to be this good, but the girl and I are liking it.... took 2 weeks to get here, but I think it looks perfect for the theme.
I think I'll get one for the back too.

Ah Ha,,,,, I was wondering if or when someone would notice the actual direction....
It is just a universal badge tho. I'm sure they didn't think about direction when they made it, but on the bright side, it's correct when I'm parked and looking at it.

No updates, just pics out flying the flag and taking some industrial urban pics. Got lots of waves and thumbs up rolling through the old haymarket area. Got some flexin' behind the Iron works building.
Nice spot, gonna have to undo the disco's and go back for some other pics. Pretty cool area for some photo ops.

I was big into 2.2 Comp crawlers for a few years. Fabbed parts for my own junk and even RC4WD.
I miss having time for fun stuff, but somebody's gotta save the world.

Was just catching up on your build. Must be a notorious thing for the top water pump bolt to break like that. Luckily yours broke the exact same way mine did with more than enough material hanging out the block. I was able to grab onto it with a pair of vise grips and it came out no problem.

finished up the badging, got another US flag emblem to finish off the rear of the Jeep. Debating on whether or not to add a Red, White N Blue stripe a long the body line.

Been inactive for a while. But,,,,,, farewell's are in order for the HERO 99 build. I have a feeling it will still be here because where one door closes, another one opens. Most of the building got to a stopping point, but we did manage to replace the fuel pump and add an access door in the bed to get to it without dropping the tank. Replaced the steering box, and the oil pressure sending unit.
This past Friday, my girl and I sold off the HERO to another father daughter combo just one city away from us. they'll be getting used to the Jeep and having a blast wheeling it. They've got a 98 same color with trans issues, so hopefully this one will get the girl driving daily and wheeling when they can while they get the 98 going.
Happy trails HERO. Hope to see the new family here soon with their own thread.
