I was afraid of that and wanted to make it right because his might be smaller and work there just fine. lol

Seriously though, my old ladies leg would be all bruised up every time we went wheeling from my radio if I mounted it there. lol

 

That's where mine was mounted. But it was a newer more slim-line one so it worked well I suppose. I might put one back there on mine, but after a get a few more things taken care of first.

I was about to start crying over the butchered 4 switch panel, but you're over in the UAE so they're probably more common there.

 

the cb is in the handheld Mic itself. So i want to be able to read the digital display while driving.

 

Oh I see! I did not realize what you were dealing with. Mine is a 360 watt Ranger with SSB and 10 meter so it's fairly large and has a large cooling fan on the bottom that needs air flow.

 

I mounted mine to the side of my radio, ill post pics later when i am out of class.

Hey...That looks like something someone could make if they had a 3D printer! Can't wait to see what else you can think of after you get it ... lol

 

I love that switch panel but i could see my self getting super irritated with my CB mic being mounted there, I cant stand loose wires anywhere near my gear lever. In fact I had to run a phone charger under my center console and have it popup right next to my cup holder that way I could cleanly charge my phone. Id recommend that everyone runs a phone charger like I did, really cleans everything up.
