I haven't much messed around with mine either. They are stock, aside from the bump stops that came in the lift kit. I really need to get my tires stuffed and see where I'm at. I keep putting it off and putting off. It's really damn important too, but here I am putting off again.

Yeah.... I'll get around to it one of these days. One of my friends was tellin' me he found some bumpstops off a vehicle in the junkyard that worked perfect, but he can't remember what vehicle it was.

Cool beans, let me know if you find out more about that. I'm trimmed pretty good in the front and I have the standard folding in the rear.

Bro, that's way more info than I needed to know.

Anyway.... gonna attempt the disc brake conversion and dual-diaphragm booster swap tomorrow. Finger crossed.

Excellent Upgrade, you will love the improvement of the booster.
Don't forget to look into the proportioning valve as well when you swap over to discs. It'll help tune them a little bit further.

I used one out of a ZJ w/ 4 wheel disc's

Yessir, already have a prop valve from a 98 ZJ ready to go in!

Well, my conversion was put on the back burner today due to it leaving me stranded in the gas station parking lot this afternoon.

My brother in law towed me home and I figured I'd go ahead and swap the "new" gas tank in. Got it all cleaned up and dropped my tank... Turns out my tank is barely dented at all... Couple good dings on the sides, but the middle is perfect. The replacement tank is actually worse off.

So clearly that's not the problem... Back to square one I guess.

So I got to thinkin' last night about what's going on with the Jeep. Remembered that when I was troubleshooting it when it wouldn't start in the parking lot at work, I swapped the fuel pressure regulator with a spare I had to see if mine was bad. When I swapped them back in, I didn't take into account that the orings expand.... of course they didn't want to go back in as easily as they did the first time. So I figure what happened was I got impatient and forced them back in... pinching them and causing them to slowly tear.

Got up this afternoon and figured I'd check... sure enough:

Click for full res

So there ya go. Need new o-rings for the FPR and I'll be back in business.

I had that happen on trail one time.... Glad you got it figured out.

You can use Vaseline to lubricate the o rings for assembly.

Yeah that's usually what I do. I have a little jar of it in the garage that's specifically for o-rings and other automotive jobs. Didn't have any with me when I was troubleshooting in the parking lot at work... although in hindsight, the chapstick in my pocket would've worked fine I'll have to remember that for next time though.

My Macgyver'ed o-ring setup is still holding fast. I have the "correct" replacement orings in the Jeep though for when Murphy visits.

In the meantime, I installed my fuel tank skid. Funny how I had no trouble getting all the holes with the hitch and nutstrips to line up, but as soon as I threw the tank skid in the mix, NOTHING wanted to line up anymore. I'm going to have to drill the holes out on the hitch and skid when I ever bring them back down again, but I got them up there.... migraine notwithstanding. I had originally planned on getting several other things done before Jeeptoberfest, but I ran out of time because of the stupid skid plate.

But that's okay though, because it was still an awesome time! I finally got my wife to sit shotgun with me and ya know what? She caught the bug! She finally understands my passion for Jeeps and off-roading, and she was thoroughly impressed with how capable my Jeep was (even happened to notice it out-performing the higher dollar rigs *cough-JKUs-cough* on the course).

I'll be doing a photo dump, but I'm going to have to wait until I'm on my home computer. Too many pics for the computer at work.

Here's a couple teasers though...

That looks like fun! Funny about how those skid plates are not bent when you take them off but somehow get bent before you put them back... lol
