Switched to my "long range" antenna before the storm....
Also had to ditch my Astatic mic because it died on me. Found that out on that last trail ride I did through ONF. Hooked up my trusty old Cobra power mic with broken insulation. Still works.
Boarded up the house but didn't have time to get pics. Loaded the jeep up with "just in cases". Chainsaw, tent, 2 sleeping bags, non-perishables, gas cans, shovel... just in case it was bad enough that I gotta cut my way through to get home, or worse - don't have a home to get back to.

Here's a couple pics of the debris in the parking lot the day after. Me and a couple of my shift mates went for a walk around the building once the eye was overhead and it was still dark out. Parts of the parking lot were flooded up to patrol cars doors, the retention ponds were all full and almost spilling over, there were limbs down everywhere and lots of little branches and twigs. Amazingly, not a single car was damaged in the parking lot and there were at least 200 cars around.
Haha! Yeah I ended up catching a case of bronchitis and the call load was insane.... so I was already over it and it wasn't even here yet.
To cap off an already ridiculous week, I was driving home from an errand today and turned left onto a road that leads to my house, and the Jeep sputtered to a stahl and wouldn't start back up. I sat there on the side of the road running through the usual troubleshooting process.... fuel at the fuel rail, lots of pressure... I wasn't able to verify spark though because I didn't have a spark checker and I didn't have anyone with me to hit the starter while I watched for arc.... so I might not have spark for all I know. Lovely OBDI computer is really on the ball though... not throwing any codes.
Luckily a lady came by in an excursion with the 7.3 and towed me home. She wouldn't take any money that I offered her though. I wish she would have though... I know how hard fuel is to come by right now.
SO... I'll be driving Goldie to work this weekend while The Hooptie sits stranded at the end of the driveway.
I'll say this much though... I've had my fair share of problems with her - everyone does - but this is the FIRST time in 6 years of ownership that she's ever broken down on me in transit.

I'd say thats a pretty good track record for a Jeep.
Also, If you got fuel pressure then I'm gonna jump on the probably the CPS bandwagon.

That's kinda what it's feelin' like. Although I just replaced mine a year or so ago with a new MOPAR replacement, so it SHOULDN'T be at this point... but who knows. I tried 3 different stators in the distributor with no luck, so I think I can rule the stator out.
Thursday I drove to work where the Jeep was parked and crawled around on the ground underneath it.** Replaced the fuel filter - didn't fix the problem. So I started pulling the fuel pump. Lo and behold, just pulling it part-way out the hole led to a startling revelation. When I was putting the new pump onto the assembly, I noticed the supply hose from the pump outlet to the assembly outlet was a little short. Figured if I tightened it down enough it would be fine.... well it wasn't. 49 PSI kicked that hose off pretty quick. So I found a longer piece of hose, cut it to where I want it and buttoned it all back up. Works like a charm
EDIT: **So.... I guess I forgot an update here. Between the Jeep breaking down on the side of the road and the update above, I discovered there was NOT fuel at the fuel rail. I bought a new fuel pump (or what I thought was new) but discovered it was dead out of the box. When I looked at the packaging, there was dirty grease on it and inside of it. The brand on the pump didn't match what was on the box either. So I tracked down another pump which ended up being a CarQuest unit - made by Carter - from Advance Auto parts. Popped it in and Bob's your uncle it fired right up. I drove it to work and back, then drove it to work again the day after that and when I went to pull forward to jump off a deputy's car, the Jeep high-idled and died right where it was. Had to push it back into the spot. I pulled the FPR to see if that was the problem, but it wasn't. As you'll discover later, I pinched the o-ring when I reinstalled it.... this lead to the update above.
Now we return to our regularly scheduled programming.

BUT, I got a "new" tank and an OEM XJ tank skid from the junk yard.... along with a set of 5.9 ZJ hood vents and a newer dash bezel. Also snagged a set of Oldsmobile Aurora license plate/backup lights

What about those recessed LED pods? Should be more light and lest current draw? You could probably get LEDs that for those housings though too.
What made me decide on these over the LED pods was that these are shallower than the LED pods. Gary (freegdr) installed a set of LED pods in his hatch and said you'd be much better off with this setup due to the clearance involved.
But yes, I do plan on getting LED bulbs to replace the incandescents.

What rear bump stops I haven't had any since I got it. But yes, you're right. I do need some extended stops. I think the only thing keeping my tires from permanently marrying my fenders is probably the shocks bottoming out They're on the short list.
