Sounds like the oil pressure relief valve in the oil pump has gotten stuck. Its sending full pressure to the filter causing it to burst. Not a common problem with the 4.0. The noisey lifters are caused by lack of oil to the lifters. Run the engine the absolute least possible, oil is probably not getting anywhere else. Running it will eventually cause it to self destruct as the relief valve may be causing full bypass not sending oil anywhere.

do you think of new oil pump might help it I have been told that maybe the issue and have debated on putting a pump in it but haven't acted on it because I'm not sure
Something caused the filter to blow. It was getting more pressure than it could take. The only way that could happen is the relief valve sticking. Not very common in any engine. What oil are you running? What is the pressure now and are the lifters quiet?

I've had a few people tell me it could be the pump so I just put a brand new mailings high flow oil pump in it and it didn't change anything. It is so loud it sounds like something's coming apart in the head I can hear it over my Straight piped exhaust
