Default IAC question

!998 xj with 4.o ,auto, 4x4

I hydrolocked the motor . Removed plugs and blew the water out . Changed oil and filters twice . Cleaned out air box and changed air filter . Cranked right up .
Now it won't idle unless gas pedal is depressed . Pulled throttle body and cleaned IAC . Still no idle .
The battery is good . The tps is only 2 years old . Is there another cause I should look for and is there a way to diagnose if the IAC is bad ?

THanks

Hydrolocking can get expensive. Have you checked for any bent pushrods? How deep were you? TPS may have gotten wet, which it does not like. At all. TPS, IAC, CPS, even the injectors. Have you checked compression? Was it mud? The cat and O2 sensors are probably shot on top of whatever else is going on.

Have you disconnected all your sensors and cleaned the contacts?

X2....... 87-90 has a process to adjust it to correct values. There is probably a way to test yours (not adjustable), with a DVM.

The parts cannon was dead on . A new AIC and it's alive . Thanks for the help folks . Probably didn't hurt to clean all the contacts too .
