I hope they weren't on gravel like the jack is, haha
Not trying to be an A-hole, but I personally have known more than one person who was killed by vehicles falling on them. Two of them were following the letter of the law, **** still happened. Whenever I'm under a ride on stands, I minimize as much as I can, the time under there. Get in, get out. I also have 4 12 ton stands, 4 6 tons, and 4 3 tons. I use them religiously.
Also, forget wood blocks or cinder blocks. Wood cracks, stone breaks. Get some good stands and be done. .02
x2... Gravel is way too unstable a surface for that. I've seen jacks and stands sink into asphalt driveways and start to become unstable. Gravel is worse.

It was all on gravel. Not much gravel, just patchy here and there. They are 6 ton stands. I always shake the jeep to make sure it isn't going to fall, and my feet were only there to take the pic. I didn't sit under there to do the work.
I always use some saran wrap between the lid and the can when working with POR-15 and that seems to work well in keeping it from becoming permanently stuck.
You'll definitely be wearing the stuff for a while if any gets on you!
What I have done is very carefully pour the remainder from the can into a glass jar. I used a glass jar because it was what I had but any container with an airtight screw on lid will work. Then open and use when needed. Do not wipe the brush on the side lip of the container and you can reseal it without having to worry about the lid sticking shut.

Whenever I do anything that requires tires off. I have a sheet of stainless steel 4ft x 4ft that put down and set my jack stands on that, with one of those rubber wheel chocks up front. Had a friend lose his leg at the knee, he was using just a hylift jack.
