LMAO!

This weekend was good. Finally, no work, no family crap, not sick, and the weather was boobies.

Yesterday- pulled the motor, and lowered/backed out the trans, all to get a stupid pilot bushing out...the stroker came out of a manual, I have an auto...so anyone doing this swap in the future, don't forget to take that bushing out!!! LOL...anywho the HF puller I got was the business, the motor was out a total of 10 minutes tops. Then right back in. Got the motor/trans lined back up, got all the bolts in, torque converter lined up perfectly, put in the bolts with red loctite, and torqued to spec. Then did some reconnecting of the linkages and so on.

Today-So close to being done...all I have left is to put in the rad/condenser, fan shroud/e-fan, batt box/batt, airbox, belt, hoses and fluids and she'll be up again!!!

Always impressed by you guys that can rebuild your engines.
Today I replaced the thermostat on the '01 Sport. Also refreshed a couple of ground connections on the engine block and adjusted the throttle cable.

Thanks. But it does leave something to be desired. It was one of the first mods I did to my jeep after I bought it, before I got into welding and fab. Got it on the bay for like $150 brand new. Advertised as a winch bumper, but had to get a Smittybilt winch plate to mount it, as the mounting points for the winch were too small, and the wrong pattern, so I had to drill new holes to mount the plate, then drill holes to get the winch on. It also doesn't tie in further back into the framerails. Hasn't let me down though, but it will be changed after I get stiffeners installed. I liked the look of it when I bought it, stinger isn't overly obnoxious. I'll fab a new one when the time comes. It will be a tube bumper as well, gotta put that bender to use, LOL....probably do tube doors first, though.

Wish I had that luxury...I have to do my work outside, and by the time I get home, it's dark and cold. So hooray for DST! LOL...Anywho, all my work has to be done on the weekends, and there's been OT at work, family stuff, had some illness, and weather issues. It just seemed for a bit there that I just couldn't catch a break, LMAO

Ha ha, truth. 10 minutes with the soap spray gun at the car wash was enough for me to call it good though!

I spent my weekend replacing the exhaust manifold. I know a real man can do it in 4 hours or less but I had surgery 2 weeks ago so I have to take it easy. Got it all put back together and come to find out that a tiny ticking sound under the valve cover has now turned into some big banging. No idea if its a piston slapping or a destroyed lifter or what it could be. Trying to convince myself to rip it apart but that may exceed the limit of my mechanical skills. Hey, at least theres no more exhauat leak.

I experienced the dreaded DW for the first time, nearly ***** the bed. Going down the highway at about 40 mph and hit a bump. I think it may have something to do with upgrading to 31's this weekend, it never happened with 235's. Everything up front is new from BJs to UJs, wheel hubs, drag link, tie-rods, adjustable track bar. Not running a steering damper, only have a 2" lift. Alignment was just done with the 235's after the ZJ drag link and tie-rods were installed 2 weeks ago. Thinking I should start with getting the alignment checked, Google searching DW is overwhelming.

Make sure the tires are correctly road force balanced.
