Just picked up this 88. PO had a stage 3 cam installed and bored it .030 supposedly. Almost got it running but methinks fuel pump is bad so I'm checking that now. Need to weld the down pipe back up to the ex. Mani. And should be road worthy. 5 on the floor, little rusty in the floorboard and painted before she sat for several years. Woo hoo, this is a hot tamalé

As soon as I clean the injectors, and rail and slap up the new gas tank !!! She gonna purrrrr. Oh, downpipe needs to be either welded or bolted back into place. The ex. Mani is a 2 pie. With 3:1 and came unattached at the Y section to the downpipe. The PO did let her sit but he treated her right when he was driving it. Def. not original paint. Undercarriage has a clean undercoat and the engine got painted too but is pealing. Other than that the undercarriage is just a little dusty

I'm gonna study the rear end a bit and find some beefy street shocks and possibly fab a coil over bracket through the wheel wells into the bed. Swap out the springs ess.

I hit a snag after tank instal and fuel rail clean. I'm still not getting psi on the fuel gauge �� Some pressure is building up while cranking. It fires w ether so I'm stumped.

 

Have you replaced the fuel pump yet?

 

Check the filter also...

 

Those were replaced. I posted my fuel delivery woes on another thread but shes up and running. I need to upload a video and post a link. She got a nice bath today too
