3 link for now. we will see how it handles on the street. can always add the 4th link later.

Introducing Project Camping Trailer. Picked It up for a steal.....free! I have some 265/75/16s to throw on it once I find some 5x5.5 by 16 rims. Thinking overland style build.

Well got the last 2 bolts in to the cab fab cross member. The front to bolts take a 1/2-13 tap to create threads. So I guess I'll just drive around with a 1,300$ cross member until my links get here........maybe by christmas???? Had i known this was going to happen, i would have gone a different route. Ugh... at least i know my transmission won't fall out.

Got my Sirius radio hardwired in. And The fm transmitter hooked right to the antenna jack on the radio. Trying to reduce wires. You would think that for 2017, we would have allot more wireless items.

Well after a tire trading fiasco, and selling another vehicle of mine, Ellis is now sitting on 32x11.5x15 maxxis mudders. We shall see how they handle the mountains, but even at 20psi, these things ride rough! Got the new trailer test fitted for 32" tires. Will need wheel spacers and to trim the fenders a bit. Well see how she handles on the camping trip this weekend. Got my CB all tuned down to about 1.3:1 SWR. My cav fab links and brackets still have not showed up yet. So I'm just driving around with the crossmember in until they come.

If you have a smart phone/tablet you can eliminate a lot of wiring using SDR and a bluetooth to FM transmitter(or you can hardwire in everything behind the dash) If you have the tablet/phone already bluetooth to FM transmitters are cheap and the SDR equipment usually isn't too bad, you can hack some digital TV tuners to get pretty much any RF band and the tablet can even listen to digitally encrypted police frequencies(<-probably illegal while driving in most areas). I've had plans to do this on one of our vehicles since ~2010 but it's low on the priority list...lol

Are those windshield wipers heated by homemade means?

I have been wanting to just get a Sirius compatable deck unit, and just run the transmitter. But i still have the mobile unit, so i can take it in to my camper when i use that. I had thought about doing the tablet version...and it is still in the plans. but mostly for mapping. Ulitmetally i would like to have my GPS be on the tablet, my radio be in the deck, my converter behind the seat, etc. its a slow progress. My head deck is bluetooth compatible, so i can run music through my phone, but when i have no cell signal, its nice to have the sirius.

Haha, no, that is my CB Antenna. It doesnt fit in the garage when in the......erect position.

Headed up the mountain for the weekend. Fully loaded, I can cruise 75 down the interstate and I only need 4th on steep hills.

Was a wee bit muddy up there. Getting to the aid station at 8500ft was a challenge. Dumping snow and pouring rain!
