I can pick up a pair of Dana 44s that will need rebuilt. They are from a 1981 Jeep Wagoneer. These are the non-vacuum versions. Coworker said they need the hub locks and rear drum, but those would get converted to disc most likely. Thoughts? I know I would need to convert the front to springs installed of leafs and the 6 bolt pattern won't fit my current wheels. Worth the $150? I could always rebuild them and sell them too. Advice would be appreciated.
I would pass on that. Unless you are going to build yourself a trailer rig and use it for trails only they would not be worth the work. You will probably pay $150 to have them laying in your way. For God knows how long?

Well, I ended up paying $75 and they are sitting behind my work on a National Guard base (so no one is gonna take them). If I don't do anything with them I will just strip them and spray them in wrinkle gloss black and sell them for like $500

Welding lessons are going well. Also got a new Pioneer head unit and 4 mid tone Kenwood speakers. Need to figure out how to install the tweeters. I have the original Infinity tweeter door panels, but they will need some modifications to fit the bigger, actually worthwhile tweeters. Need to repair the door panels because those plastic panels behind the handles have cracked. I plan in repairing them by sandwiching the plastic between two sheets of metal. Hopefully, that works. Any suggestions appreciated.
Gonna end up selling those axles if you all know someone in NM that's interested. Need to do some more work on this build, may have some questions on wiring HIDs they are supposed to be plug and play but make a hissing noise when on.

Did some cosmetic work on the jeep today. Painted the hatch handle, panel for the license plate, and the rear louvers with the same bed liner as the bumpers. Turned out well enough for my liking. Just need to get them dusty like the rest of the Jeep! Also finally added some badging to get it out of the drawer. Only put the door badging and the rear hatch. The curve on the front didn't want to take the other Jeep logo. Heat gun maybe? More research needed.. Won some Husky Floor Liners from their weekly give away that was nice of them - need to trim down the driver's one as it interferes with my clutch pedal not pressing as deep as it needs to. No biggie for free - and it's my clutches fault.
I'll snap some better pictures once I pull it out of the garage.
