That just isn't true. Thru might need new ujoints, but you don't need to install an SYE a stock height, ever. If you did, they would've needed one when they were originally built. You either misunderstood, or they were simply wrong.
Its leaking from everywhere! Actually the valve cover doesnt look like its leaking but EVERYTHING else is and is covered in this wonderful gunk. Couple more days and it should look new again. (and hopefully not leak)
Yesterday I finally installed my seat heaters! Absolutely awesome driving to college this morning with a warm butt.
And wired up all my interior accessories to a fuse (with a relay of course). You can see the relay in the upper left, fuse box in the middle-ish of the picture, and my USB hardwire adapter on the right that powers my bluetooth unit and navigation (soon to be ROAV heads-up display when it launches)
Pic of my new APT-x bluetooth unit and relay switch (I know the bluetooth adapter is off axis, I fixed it right after taking this pic )
Better view of the fuse-box;
And installed Smittybilt seat covers;
[BEFORE]
[AFTER; still need to adjust them a bit]
And replaced one of my injector (one of my Neon injectors failed a while back, and I swapped a stocker back in until I got a replacement), cleaned the IAC and Throttle Body at the same time that I had the fuel rail off.
I also cleaned the engine bay, battery terminals, a few grounds, and reset my PCM.
Yesterday was damn productive...

Wow, Waffles was busy.
The Peep XJ had the weekend off.
Gave the 95ZJ fresh oil and filter, guess the factory recommended break in is complete at 383Kkm
The 4.0 runs sweet. Seats suck, ride quality is medium truckish, basically much tamer and quieter than the XJ. A real snow beast. Happy Happy
Now I've been watchin the Bleepin Jeep ZJ build to see how I can best screw up the factory suspension.

I have been watching that too, he scares me with that damn guardless Ryobi angle grinder.
