Needing help with the location of the throttle position sensor on my 07 jeep cherokee laredo 3.7 2wd. I cannot find it anywhere.

 

Should be on the throttle body, inline with the axis of rotation of the throttle plate, on the opposite side of where the cables attach.

In the picture, the TPS is on the left, the MAP sensor is on the top, and the IAC motor is on the bottom.

Thanks for the reply, see I thought it would be on the throttle body too but I have this.

 

That looks like a completely integrated throttle body. Good luck with that one!

 

Oh great, should I just cut to the chase and buy a whole other one?

 

What's the issue you are having by the way?

 

IDK man. 07 is beyond my experience. A DRBIII scan tool should be able to pinpoint the problem. A good auto repair shop should have one.

 

I take it to a buddy of mine he has a scanner and he clears the codes, after I drive about 15min my etc and cell both come on with my etc light staying on until I shut it off. I can usually get about 4-5 days out of it before it goes into limp mode. I had the codes written down but I can't find them anywhere, one translated into something not having enough voltage. I've had it to transmission shops, multiple mechanics, I've replaced the shifter module, this is been going on about a year. It's at 96k miles so I've been trying to dodge an expensive shop bill. I recently bought a throttle position Sensor and I'm debating on buying a new map sensor (for the heck of it), maybe even a new throttle body if I have to.

Definitely a 2007 Grand Cherokee (WK) Laredo w/ a 3.7L?
Or is it maybe an aftermarket throttle body?

Either way, that part where the electrical connector is should be your IAC, and just above it would be the TPS. I assume that cover comes off pretty easily. As far as what is underneath it and how serviceable it is... Maybe if you find those codes

 

I'll see if i cant check inside the box, if worse co.es to worse, I'll just get a throttle body. Thanks for the help fellas.
