Default Dana 35?




Is this a Dana 35? I'm getting new leafs and I want to get new u bolts too. Also that leak is very new. What could cause that?? Thanks guys. I've been on here for a while but still trying to understand the forum set up.

Thats the Chrysler 8.25 or c8.25..

Could be the vent not working and forcing lube out the plug or a leaking pinion seal.

First thing I'd do is get a replacement plug for a few bucks at a local auto parts store. Pry out the old one. Pop the new one in.

Mine was leaking like that, and a replacement plug stopped it.

The plug is plastic and probably the factory one is why its leaking,Like said just replace it should fix that leak.

I hope that's it. I've opened up more vent lines than replaced plugs though.

I have found the same as Earl for plugged up lines, last one I did was with small ants.

Okay I will try that first! What type of gear oil did you use to replace the lost with and is there a full point or just where the plug is?

The cover should said what it is. If its a 35, it'll have the DANA logo etc and you should see Dana 35C etc or something depending wha year it is.
