That sounds very interesting. I'll check that out as soon as I get off.
Cut some rectangles out of the bumper and installed fog lights. I had to jumper the relay sockets, rebuild the switch, and replace the fuse to get them to work, but I think they add alot.

I read that article again. I remember this article from before I even bought an XJ, I stared at all the pictures for a long time, Sad to hear OR Fab just closed too. Nice looking bumper.

Yeah that thing was a beast when they finished it up. Definitely a good reference for an xj owner. Yours is turning out nice though man. Keep it up
I'm pretty excited. I bought a mig welder from harbor freight today. Its a 240 volt 170 amp that I used a coupon out of a off 4 Wheel magazine, and got it for 169 dollars... I've been saving up for a while. Of course I had to hotrod it like everything else. I put a 100000 uF capacitor in it, to really make it sizzle, and a bleed resistor to kill the voltage when its done. Then added a beefier cord with thicker guage wire, thats 20 feet longer too. I didn't have much metal to test it out on but I did get to fiddle with it a little. I think I will be nice for what all I need it for.
Well When I was swapping out the rear drums to disk, apparently I wasn't careful enough and I damaged the rear axle seals. The rear passenger back plate has been damp ever since. So I replaced the seals today. Here's the link to the seals for a Chrysler 8.25 they are not in pairs so you need to get two. I used a large prybar from HF and I used a grinder to sharpen the edge to the prybar and I also put a rounded contour to it too. After that it popped right out with no scrapes to the inner axle sleeve and very easily too.
Rear swaybar delete, and I will be ordering a disco for the front. Also I need to order some shackles cause got some old man droop going on in the leaf springs. Straightened up the leafs and put another bracket I fabbed up around them, while I was checking them out.
I also had a bolt hole strip out in the front knuckle where the caliper goes. I used a helicoil with red locktite and it snugs up real good.
Got my front swaybar disconnects in today. They are JKS adjustable that fit 3.5" lifts they seem a little long though, but still work great. I used a ball joint puller to remove the pressed in bolts, and a tap set to screw in the storage pins.
