the 6500 is an asking price.. i don't know many people that actually pay asking price. most sellers ask for more then they actually want. so with the negotiated down price the head is not a big deal to me. hell mine has over 200k on the 031 head. if it bothered me that much i'd buy it spend the $500 for a head and be ahead in the end over buying cheap rust bucket and having to replace sheet metal and god knows what else.

it may not have just sit for years. maybe it gets uses but just not all that often. its about 4500 miles year averaged out.. my old cars don't usually see 4500 miles a year. nothing negative have happened to them. my street bike is going on two years old and only has 3700 miles on it and there is nothing wrong with that being used so little compared to my daily driver cars..

to you 6500 isn't "gold" money but its obvious that to many on this forum that it is.
Hahaha...wow sorry I hurt your feelings a bit I didn't mean too....all I was saying was that I wouldnt buy it..wasn't an attack on you for saying you would buy it just a conversation. You didn't have to explain or defend yourself hahaha my bad

Haha guys out of those 4 which are you taking? I'm taking bottom left just because it's a clean slate, untouched. At least it seems in the little I can see

The bottom right woukd be out of the question for me. Top left doesn't look bad and priced reasonably fit craigslist haha. Top right is outrage outlying priced and the owner doesn't indeed think it's gold because of the miles. So yeah I would take the bottom left if he would do 3k hahaha

It sucks that it's an se, I like how he never mentioned that too, I mean you see the crank windows but I'm sure he left it out on purpose.
Also, I'm not too familiar with the se edition, I've owned a 2000 sport and currently have a 2000 classic, both power everything. Can someone please tell me what the fuxks up with the dash? Never seen that before unless it's just the dash the se edition came with? If that's not original you have no way of knowing how many miles that things actually got. Clean and pretty though.

I believe that sometimes people just put these on with high prices just to see what happens , I've done it with my XJ and don't plan on selling it . I have also sold a 2001 TJ in 2010 with 2 inch lift and 31 inch tires in great condition and 53000 miles for what I asked for it . I had people try to get me to drop the price but I stood firm and sold it for $12000 .

se sucks? because it doesn't have a bunch of options that inherently fail and body color fender flares? yeah. good call. I'm guessing the cluster has a speedo and fuel gauge only with idiot lights. factory install.

Let me rephrase that, sucks for most people. I don't mind cranking a window and have had plenty of frozen locks because one power lock failed, but there's a reason it's the base model and ppl will pay more to say their rides all power. Just like I donthink understand the limited. Absolutely abhor leather seats. May be different for a guy because you guys don't wear shorts as short as us, but never have I wanted to burn or freeze my *** just to tell someone my rides got leather seats. I'll pay more for not leather.

I have a 2dr SE that I love. Crank windows and manual locks make door removal an ease. Though I did swap heated leather seats from a WJ into it and I love the bolster they have and back support.

Don't get me wring, the seats look good, my *** just doesn't agree haha. Just had to get into my bfs jimmy w leather seats and shorts yesterday when it was 100 out parked in the sun, couldn't fully sit for a few min. Makes it easier to clean the mud off def. My xj has no carpet front or back for that reason.

Also couldn't do 2 door as much as I like the look. 7 dogs that love rides and constantly go on trips to the vet makes it much more practical to have 4 doors for me.

I have 20% tint so the seats dont heat up, if I didnt I would agree completely. ALso yes the leather makes cleaning mud super easy.

As a single man, having a 2 door is perfect. I will wait to get married for this reason hahaha

My '98 has manual windows and locks. I like the windows but elec locks would be nice sometimes when letting people in. It does have cruise and a/c though which are both great.

It also had the idiot light cluster originally but I swapped it out for a gauge cluster I found at pick-n-pull and it's much better of course. I re-programmed the odometer in the new cluster to match the original cluster so no problems with the computer... the replacement cluster had less miles so I bumped it up to match.
