What happened, no tail lights but the brake lights still work?
My passenger tail light went crazy a few nights ago: turn signal was blinking on its own, no tail lights on that side and reverse light wouldn't turn on.
Those connectors will be worse than the original connector.. I would at least use dielectric grease in them to help keep moisture out. Whatever you do, don't wrap the wires with electrical tape, it'll corrode faster than you can imagine!
These connectors will be temporary until I get a set of weather-pack connectors or equivalent. Maybe something similar to the OEM-style.
Not a crucial repair, but it is needed if you desire to know if you are in 4WD just by glancing at the dash like Jeep intended.
If you are unsure if your sensor is bad or if its the dash bulb, take and unplug the sensor connector and insert a paperclip to jump the terminals.
If the light comes on you have a bad sensor, if not check the dash light bulb.
The sensor is located on the transfer case drivers side on the top.
Not the easiest to get to, but with some patience and a medium-sized channel locks I managed to get it free.

The light turns on the dash when I shift it into 4WD now.

Stock OEM calipers - They were sticking and needed to be replaced.
New painted calipers installed - you might not notice it, I know I didn't, but I installed them on the wrong sides. Left on the right and right on the left.
Took me awhile to realize what I did wrong since I was having a horrible time bleeding the system. After switching the calipers side-to-side, i.e. the proper sides, everything worked awesome.
I needed a longer upper radiator hose to go behind the newly relocated alternator. Since the stock hose was passing over top the alternator it was being squished slightly by the hood, impeding coolant flow.

Or lookup the replacement upper hose for your Jeep, just without air conditioning. It will be obviously longer since it travels a different path in the models without AC.
Reinstalled and the radiator topped off once again.
