So glad to have my Heep back. Though the rust is damn near traumatizing.
I still stand by my suggestion... A shell swap. And what about the other xj. Did u bring it home too?

Rust is a part of life when you live in eastern Ontario Canada. They use so much road salt in the winter up here that a farmer actually sued the local government for poisoning their field, and won the case

I am not sure about salad's part of eastern Ontario, he is about 2 hours north west of me, but here they would rather lay down a few tons of salt over putting the plow a little closer to the road. Or so it seems.

This was yesterday but worth venting.

Went ti finalize the trim on the shackle relocators which went fine. I had just enough Dremel cutoff wheels. When putting them back on I realized the shackle was binding so I loosened it a bit. Well I knew my leaf bushing was needing replacement but didnt know how bad. So decided with a few hours of daylight Id knock that out too. Learned a lot when I did the other side last year when it took me many many hours to get the old bushing sleeve out. This time since I knew how to tackle it, cut the sleeve at the eye to spring and use cold chisels to fold it in and it comes right out. That took 15 mins and I was feeling confident.

Then out of nowhere Murphy pulls up and decides to not let the new bushing fit back in. Last time I was able to bfh it in. Not this time. Now its dark everything is closed and I had to leave her on jack stands until I can go pickup a press or make one. Wife had to drive me to work and now I gotta borrow a company truck and deal with the hassle of bringing it back. Never again.

You have to notch them to fit with the body line unless you don't want to go lower. It's not hard just take time and they look good. Then use whatever mounting technique you want.

You replaced the cat right? Taboo to talk about illegal mods on CF.
