Got a 95 grand cherokee limited V8 as a project rig a few months ago and just got around to working on it. Had to jump it due to a dead battery when I brought it home but it fired right up. Put a new battery in it to pull it into the shop and it wouldn't start. Had the starter tested and it's good. When I turn the key nothing happens. No click no nothing. Where do I start? Electrical is not my thing. Oh, did get it started by jumping the starter. Idk exactly, a neighbor did it.

 

Check to see if you're getting voltage to the small wire on the starter solenoid when turning the key to the start position. Report back with what you find.

 

How to test your starter:
I've never had to do this but it was pretty helpful to see how it works.
