did you beeld the air pockets out of the head they tend to get trapped in there. sensor on the thermostat housing is where i believe you do it?!? besides the radiator cap off until it gets warmed up.
Under the right conditions a bottom rad hose can collapse. First off it's on the suction side of the pump. Let something above the pump not vent properly, like the rad cap, and a weak or cheap bottom hose can collapse. Really no need for the spring IF you maintain the cooling system BUT then there is Murphy.

The pressure comes from a heat buildup in the coolant. This pressure is contained to a point by the radiator cap. This pressure containment helps raise the boiling point of the coolant.
But as the system cools down the cap vent is suppose to allow coolant to flow back from the reservoir to keep the system full. If the cap vent stays closed or other restrictions exit couldn't enough vaccum be created to cause the hoses to collapse? I'm not crazy about those springs at all thinking that they could possibly disintegrate and end up in the pump.

Yes, if a cap fails, the hoses can collapse when the motor is off and the system is cold but, at cold start-up and as soon a some heat/pressure starts to build in the system, the hoses fully open/expand well before operating temp is reached.

Let's hope.
Anyways I'd say it's just best to keep up on the condition/maintenance of the cooling system. It's not much (ESPECIALLY that oem radiator) but gets the job done if in GOOD shape.

Hoses have nothing to do with cooling, the radiator is the heart of the cooling system. If u change both (hoses and rad) at the same time, u only need to drain/re-fill coolant once, otherwise u gotta drain/re-fill twice.

OK, Over Heating Completed. I installed a New Radiator, and had the Aux Fan turn on once the Jeep started. It only goes up to 220, runs at 212 to 215 while driving. TY all
