Default No rear sway bar

Hey guys just a quick question. I was fixing a leak in my back diff and noticed that I didn't have a rear sway bar. Is this common or should I question it? I know I don't really need one but I'd just like to know.

You don't need it of you aren't towing anything. It's just added weight

I heard a few models didn't have them installed from the factory. You don't need it since the roll in the back isn't hardly noticeable. The front is the one you want to have and most would argue is best left on for road driving.

I can't remember if it was certain tow packages that didn't have the rears, or if it would only be beneficial to have IF you were towing. Complete opposite concept I know, not sure why I can't remember which one it was lol.

i have a book about modding xjs you droop a little in the rear like 1/2 inch but it actually gives you a little more travel in the rear, since it's soo light it wont make a difference.. you can have mine when i take it out if i really want it
lol

If your front sway bar is at least connected when on road, not having a rear sway bar is not only suggested widely in the off roading community, it is still very safe when on road. Jeeps with coil spring at all 4 corners like TJ's and Grand XJ's usually need the rear sway bar, basically needed when on road. But the leafs on XJ's are ok without one.

Something that small you wouldn't even feel it.

I'd be pissed that mine wasn't there. Its something you could have scrapped for beer money.
