I have a 2001 grand cherokee, If i have the selector **** in the first position coming out of the front of the dash, and the fan is **** is turned to low it works normally. When I turn the fan **** to increase the fan to high, the air comes out of the defrost vents instead of the front of the dash. Is anyone familiar with this problem and have a possible fix for it.

 

Sounds like the actuator for the vent selector is bad. Could be a small vaccum leak and the higher speed fan setting is overpowering it.

 

Does your Cruise Control work?
