You have to find the center line of your bumper, then measure out from it to find the inner/outer cut lines to allow the d-ring brackets to pass through. each pass-through is about 3/4" wide.

The lower cross member attaches to the L-brackets and the inner cross member. Everything else attaches to this. It comes with d-ring recovery points and these require 2 cuts to be made to the stock bumper.

The L-brackets go into the sub-frame, tying everything to it and the rear body panel between the gas tank and the bumper. It's pretty strong.

The end caps, bumper, and rear hitch bolts all needed to be removed before anything could go on. Detours suggest you remove the hitch and put it on later but you don't need to. You can use it as your bottom plating for the L-brackets and the inner cross member has to be angled between it and the cargo floor. Those a re the only two hiccups you have and they're taken care of in about 10 minutes.

Detours send you everything assembled so you know which bolts go where and primed flat gray. I went with a flat black top coat to match the trim on mine.

Door closed, you can see minimal sag on the body line.
