I'll plate the tubing like this. In addition there will be a plate under the whole thing on a similar plane as my fabbed skid plate with probably an inch between the skid and the bottom of the bumper. The lower piece will be dimple died like the skid plate to make it more strong and allow for drainage of water and mud.

The plate on top will run under the weather strip but not too close to the body. I hate rattles and such.

Im going to cut this angle in the tubing and plate the front kinda like a fender well extension but not conneted to the cut on fold. Actually back a bit more so no rattles or contact.

The hitch is getting a plate behind it to the tubes and gusseted behind as well. The hitch and tow locations plane out at the same level on the bottom.

There are actually 2 tubes top and bottom of hitch reciever and tow points.

Bolted the piece with 2 nuts to the crossmember to line everything up and tacked it to the frame. Then removed the crossmember and fully welded the plate to the frame.
