The fate of the back recovery points is still undetermined. I hope to score a rear tire mount from the Bone-Yards. If I can't the bumper's gona go. For now this will have to do because it's starting to snow around here and I don't want to be out there welding hooks or D-Rings to the hitch.

You just cut your old cable back until you do not find any corosion in the cable, strip off 1" of insulation, tighten the bolt and snap the little black box around the connector.

Napa's Part Number = 728216. Cost = $24.95 Ea. They come with red and black wire like the one on the left side of this photo. I used red and black electrical tape to make all the wires coming out the same color in an effort to make them Idiot proof if I need a jump start. I also wraped the splice with tape to help keep moisture out even more than the box does. Was thinking of filling the box with silicon caulk...

Kind of made me think I didn't ask enough! Two people showed up at the same time, the first day and had cash in hand, no dickering... I even let them know it used as much oil as it did gas...

Recovery Points - Big differnace in brackets! After taking the bumper off, I don't know if I would feel comfortable mounting expensive lights with the original brackets much less try to use it for pulling someone out...

Recovery points - About 30 min of wire brushing the parts and an inspection for cracks and they're ready to paint.

First step of appearance up-grade. Repainting faded black trim. Big Mistake! Now I realize I have to do it all! Using satin bumper and trim paint that has both flex agents and UV protection. (also an expoxy rust converter/Inhibiter on metal parts)
