So I went to the local JY and pulled an interior trunk release from a '05 Ford Focus for $3 Now I can easily release the hatch latch with a slight tug

Needed to remove some CANCER from the jeep There wasn't enough good metal remaining to do a decent cut-n-fold on the rear quarter. So I opted to cut the quarter off at the body line
