dome light short has been found traced it back to the rear cargo dome light wiring/faulty switch I'm both relived and irritated. Relieved that the issue has been found, but irritated that it happened and was so obvious. Much thanks to JandDGreens for the help.

That looks a whole lot better. Reinstalled the harness and everything works now. Hatch lock, window defroster and rear wiper motor.

It works, so next time it blows the fuse/circuit breaker I will be able to just reset the breaker and I can be on my way once again.

30 amp starter circuit breaker add-on A couple of times now I've been left stranded due to the 30 amp starter/rear window defroster fuse blowing. (This is not a long term solution, just temporary so I won't be left stranded next time it decides to pop the fuse)
