It looks like its kind of Universal , I did a Recon and looked some over at my local Pic &Pull. I saw some years ago that the 2 main ends bolted to the end bolts of the lower control arms. The ones I have seen lately just bolt to the under lip of the Body.

Unless they're generic (i.e., purchased from an auto parts store and NOT the dealership), the ZJ and WJ running boards will likely be different. You may still be able to make them work if you can find a way to fit the WJ brackets onto the ZJ's rocker panels. If they're MOPAR (you'll see either a Mopar 'm' logo or a Chrysler "Pentastar" logo on the bottom of the boards if they are genuine MOPAR units), they are likely made specifically for the WJ or ZJ. But then again, nothing says you can't modify them to fit.

WJ running boards on a ZJ will NOT be plug n play.
But anything can be modified if you have access to time n tools.
The WJ parts likely to be longer, easier to trim down vs add on.
Mounting will not be equal.
