just a quick question. will a transfer case and transmission from a 1997 zj fit into a 2000 wj? both are automatics, both 4.0L I6. My mom's 2000 blew the transmission and rear axle and my folks got a 97 parts jeep.

 

....probably.... You may need a different/customized center support for the Trans/TC mount. The bell housing is likely the same, but how the tail attaches to the frame could definitely be different. It's hard to tell without just trying it.
