TJ Fuel Cell and Pump in ZJ

I have a 97 GC Laredo. Typical 4.0, but the gas tank was dropped and a TH fuel cell was put in the back along with the respective TJ fuel pump. Could the fact that this is a TJ Pump be causing issues with my Jeep staying running?

You can check fuel pressure at the rail and that will confirm if your fuel pump is working properly. AutoZone rents them for free.
