I have a 96 ZJ with a 2" lift. I have new springs, shocks, tie rod ends and drap link, and a new track bar. The track bar is tight, ball joints seem ok, steering box is tight, and I have CV axles rather then u-joints. I have had a clunk when turning for a while but in the past day its gotten worse, especially when turning left. Its very loud when turning left. It feels like its clunking right under my feet while driving. Could control arms cause this? What am I missing? Thanks!

 

Sway bar links will do that. They LOOK ok but are actually broken. Also jack up a wheel and slide a big pry bar under it and move up and down while watching the ball joints for movement.

So I have new sway bar links, and new JKS track bar, new ball joints, new axle shafts, new drive shaft u-joints ( I had this stuff from my old ZJ so put it on just in case) and its still clunking!!! I swear it sounds like the track bar still. Its tighten down, its not hallowed out by the bolts, it doesnt move when someone turns the wheel, the steering box isnt loose. Im stuck!!! And its weird, it clunks for like a day or so then stops for a week. It doesnt seem to matter on the weather, hot or cold, it just randomly does it then stops. I have taken it to a shop and it never clunks when they check it out. I have even drove with them and couldnt get it to clunk. Im at a loss and its driving me crazy! Any thoughts?
