how hard is it to change my two wheel drive 03 grand cherokee to four wheel drive
i want to change my two wheel drive 03 4.0 grand cherokee to four wheel drive

Hard is a relative term.
Is it something an amateur mechanic can do? Sure.
Is it complex - not terribly.
Is it a ton of work? Heck yes.
As freegdr said - find a donor 93 with 4wd with the same engine and transmission and you'll need to pull the transfer case, driveshafts and front axle. You may have to cut a hole for the transfer case shift lever if it's mechanical. I'm not familiar enough with the Grand Cherokee to say for sure.
You should pose this question in the Grand Cherokee forum as the folks there will be more knowledgeable than most folks over here in XJ land.

I think you'd be further ahead just finding a 4WD Cherokee. They aren't expensive. If you've found a donor, fix that up and make it your ride.
