Axle Shaft Replacement
I have the stock 2 piece axle shafts. I would like to upgrade to something stronger, any suggestions that dont cost a ton? Is there a donor vehicle that I could grab some from? I have a 96 ZJ 5.2L with stock axles, 30 and the 44a in back. Also, how do I know what spine I have?

Jeep Dana 30s only come in 27 spline and the Dana 44a is 30 spline. A 96 ZJ didn't come with 2 peice axle shafts so if that's what you have someone has swapped the front axle.

Yep, you are totally right, I was confused. The 2 piece are better right? Mine are stock forsure. What would be a good upgrade? And older trucks have some that would fit? I have found different results from searching but havent seen anyone who has done it.

The ones with the 2 piece axle have the center axle disconnect, Jeep did away with that on the XJ in 91 and 95 was the last year for it in the Wrangler. The one piece axle is a better setup.
