2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee stalls in reverse
I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 4.0 engine. I am having problems when I shift into reverse it stalls. to keep it from stalling I have to feather the gas, and when I’m out wheelin in a little snow it has like no power to back up and doesn't move like its hesitating and has no power. When I’m in drive it jerks into gear from 1st to 2nd and when I put the gas to the floor it jerks HARD while shifting into last gear. While idling in park and neutral has no problems idles as it should. This problem started when I got stuck in a bunch of snow I heard a popping like noise then it stalled and it’s had this odd shifting problem since. I ran my jeep for engine codes and none come up... anyone have any ideas?

I know it's an old thread but have you checked if you're low on Transmission Fluid? That happened to me until I noticed I was under the hash marks and topped it off
