Went to clean up battery connections and found this round connector hanging down behind the battery... pretty sure it wasn't connected to anything. It routes back through the firewall and has an in-line fuse.

Should I hook it up to the positive terminal or leave it be?

With the round connection.

Ok, that's kind of what I was thinking but wanted to double check that I wasn't messing something up. There are some speaker wires that go nowhere under the radio from a PO.
Thanks BillyBoy!

Until you actually figure out what it is, I would wrap it in electrical tape so that it doesn't inadvertently ground out somewhere it's not supposed to. I certainly would NOT connect it to either a ground point OR the positive battery terminal without knowing what it is or whether it's positive or negative, because what if you got it wrong?

It's probably fine hanging like it is if it hasn't already shorted something, but I still wouldn't take the chance.

Thanks extrashaky, that's a good idea. I'll do that before I start it up again.

Btw, a comment you made to another thread helped me realize my thermostat has been stuck open all winter. D'oh!
