Hello my comrades!
I have an idea and am looking for intelligent opinions and ideas upon this subject.
So i want to take my battery chargers that are wall plug in and somehow convert them to hook up to the jeeps electrical and mounted to the cargo area body. This way i can have them hooked up to toggle switches and charge my drill or impact or any other power tool as needed without having to worry about it being left at home when i leave the house. Anyone have experience on this topic? If so what have you found solutions and issues caused by this.
Edit. I have decided i will just install a power inverter to a second battery and be done with it.

A power inverter is the correct answer. I'm not sure if dual batteries is necessary. I would think not because I can't image that some chargers would draw that much amperage but that's purely speculative. Are you planning on dual batteries to charge your power tools with the Jeep not running?

If you install a car battery inside of vehicle, it must be a sealed unit like gel type batteries. Also a deep cycle battery would be preferred, these can handle discharge and recharge much better and for many more cycles than a standard gel starting battery.

I plan on more than just the battery chargers. I wanted to add one of those little fridges for when i am traveling. And was considering if i would need the second battery for the light bar, interior led strips, the battery chargers, that little fridge, and the audio amp. Unless if a yellow top optima under the hood is sufficient enough then id be fine with just that. At that point i was also considering upgrading my alternator. I do not plan to have the fridge running at all times since it would be used 1-2 weeks at a time 7-8 times a yearOriginally Posted by XJlimitedx99

Yup, I do it all the time.

I charge stuff as well as run power tools anywhere. I have a 1750 watt inverter in the back and dual batteries that can be isolated and a 250 amp alternator to run them

Amazing! Where did you get the 250 amp alternator. I've been considering 150a if i could find one.Originally Posted by 4.3L XJ

I bought it off Amazon. I have a Chevy, but the same is available for Chrysler engines. I am sure you will have to do some grinding on the bracket. But the price at the time was $150. Not sure about now with tariffs on Chinese goods coming.
