iPhone and Uconnect

iPhone and Uconnect
Hey all,
A strange question. My GC her in Nigeria has (in MHO not the complete) Uconnect installed but I miss the apps setting. This might because Uconnect is not supported in Nigeria. This is annoying but that are more things here in Africa.
But what is very strange is that when i connect my iPhone (6S+) to the system, audio and all works but not the message/SMS and email.
When I connect my BlackBerry (Pasport) the text (SMS) works normally but not the email.
Does any of you have the same issue or is it just that I do something wrong??
