So I deleted my clutch fan and put another alternator in its place next I plan to remove air box to put another battery in. I want to have one alternator and battery just for the vehicle and the second alternator and battery for auxiliary items. What all is required to make the second alternator run the second battery? Do I need some form of resistor? I just dont want to over charge the battery or it get too hot and explode. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Youi need to isolate the battery except for the charging wire. To do this use a continuous duty golf cart solenoid. Turn it on only when you want to use the second battery
