Thumbs down Cherokee radio

I just acquired a 2014 Cherokee Lariat and every time I start the car the radio is on, no matter that I had it off when I turn the car off.

Is there a setting I can go to to eliminate this?

I assume you mean Latitude? There is no Lariat trim level, it is Sport, Latitude, Limited, Trailhawk.

Do you have the 5.0" radio (Has a small screen with buttons around the screen), or the 8.4" radio? (Has a large screen, and has a button to call 9-1-1 on the rearview mirror).

Also, do you have the push-button start or the ignition where you insert the remote and key into the slot? If you have the push-button start, everything's linked to memory, and the radio is supposed to "remember" which setting it was last on. Unless you are using your other remote for that, it should remember which setting it was last on. My mom's BMW is the same way, as soon as you unlock it it defaults to the last settings the key was used with.

Default Right you are

Thanks for correcting my identifying mistake! It shows how new the car is to me.

It is the smaller screen.

I guess they think that's a nice feature ... except when you're no longer in that station's range (and you've moved over to bluetooth and your Pandora and all you get is static!
