After buying my '16 Cherokee...I noticed it doesn't have a CD player....questions....is it dealer available? Can this be easily installed by the dealer? If so, where would the unit be placed? Thank you.

Yes, the CD player is an add-on option... it would be mounted in the center console and I assume it could be installed by a dealer. Here's what it'd look like installed: https://www.cars.com/articles/2015/0...ees-cd-player/
It's about a $195 option from the factory but not sure how much it'd be installing it after you bought the Jeep. You'd need all the wiring and mounting for it to route to the back of the radio where it just plugs in. It would take up a little bit of space in there and would mount to one side. Which radio do you have? (The smaller touch screen or the larger touchscreen with the 9-1-1 and ASSIST buttons on your rearview mirror)?

Then your radio is DEFINITELY compatible... once you get it installed, a Player or CD Player button should appear under the source selection menu in the Media screen.
