Question Blinker Flashes Interior Lights Including Cluster w/ Aftermarket Radio

Hi all,
my 2000 Jeep Cherokee has the typical right blinker issue where when activated, all the interior lights and cluster blinks with it. The Jeep has a aftermarket Kenwood KDC-X303. I read threads here and checked the OEM wiring diagram with the Kenwood diagram. In the stock stereo harness, what is this light Lime Green wire for?

The PO connected it to the grey/black wire which according to Kenwood is for the front right negative speaker connection.

Well I then looked up the front right negative speaker connection for the OEM stereo harness and the color is supposed to be Dark Blue/Red....?

I do not have that colored wire. A lot of wires are exposed under the dash that were once tampered. Also, the PO installed subs w/ an amp, but didn't hook up the rest of the speakers correctly to the radio which is why only the subs are working. I cant seem to find what that Lime Green wire is for and why I do not have the OEM Dark Blue/Red wire?

Update: I had to cleanup a lot of messy wiring that was spliced. I have another XJ and tried swapping the headlamp switch and blinker switch, but neither solved my blinker issue. I'm thinking maybe a relay? I might disconnect the aftermarket radio and see if that will fix anything.

This should help. Seems like chrysler changed colors at some point. The post shows the Green going to RF-.

edit.. had the plugs backwards, The Grey plug is the "feed" connector. These are the wires, at least according to the link above.

Grey plug = Feeder Plug
BATT = Pink
ACC = Red/White stripe
ILL = Orange
PARK = Black/Yellow Stripe
RF- = Light Green
LF- = Brown/red Stripe
MUTE = empty

Black plug = Speaker plug
RR- = Dark Blue/Orange Stripe
LR - = Brown/Blue stripe
RF+ = Purple
LF+ = Dark Green
RR+ = Blue/White Stripe
LR+ = Brown/Yellow Stripe
ANT = Green/Red stripe

Ah okay, thanks for the help! It looks like the PO totally wired the speakers wrong which is why none of them probably worked. I'm still unsure what color wire Chrystler replaced DarkBlue/Red RF- wire with because my jeep doesn't have that color? I guess I could do process of elimination and see. Still stumped on the blinker issue. The Jeep also came with LED headlights. I read that could be a possible reason why all my lights (exterior and interior) are blinking with the blinker signals when my light switch is on.

I updated my post, I had the plugs backwards. I pinned out the connectors to colors and what should be their function from the pictures in that link. If that doesn't help let me know and I'll go check my 2001. It sucks that they cut the factory plugs off, always makes things such a pain in the butt.

Does your jeep have the infinity system? check under the back seat on the driver side for the factory amp if your not sure.

Do you have LED bulbs in the blinkers/marker lights? They can cause all sorts of weirdness.

Update: I re-wired the radio, but no luck and only the aftermarket subs work the PO put in the trunk. I cleaned the grounds on the passenger side next to the fuse box and the grounds on the driver's side next to the ECU computer. One of the grounds near the ECU had metal wire exposed. I got excited and thought that was the problem, but nada. Starting to get stumped here.... No oem amp, there is a aftermarket amp attached to the sub box. I'm checking into the side marker lights now. I'm curious if these LED headlights have anything to do with it. There's also exposed wires with some corrosion running into the driver's door and an aftermarket wire in the passenger door. Is there anything that could be related in these harnesses to the entire vehicle?

Update: Forgot to mention, when the blinker is on, the driver's rear roof speaker bleeps with it for whatever reason.... hmmm.

Update: Replaced a bulb in the rear driver's tail light that wasn't the correct type. Also, there wasn't a bulb in the left front marker light. Now my interior roof dome light doesn't flicker. I checked the rest of the bulbs and everything seems good. I don't know what I did, but the Jeep was working fine for a few minutes. No dash lights were flashing with the idicators. Then, suddenly it went back to messing up. Whenever my right blinker is on, my dash cluster flickers and so do the running lights on both sides of the Jeep.

I found the culprit! The passenger rear tail light harness behind the plastic trunk interior trim was all melted. Looks like there was a fire Two harnesses were taped together and one melted which caused the other harness to burn with it. I replaced the dead sections and all worked like new! Man Im relieved. Heres a picture before repair.

yup, that will do it.
I'd bench test that head unit. The amp inside the headunit might have fried which wouldn't affect the rca outs.
