Hey Every one out there in forums land, I have seen a lot of posts about the new model XJ overhead console such as the 97 n up. But I have a 1991 xj loredo that has all the options including the overhead console.

My issue is that my computer on the overhead only works part of the time and its really only when it wants to. it will randomly come on and work for that drive or sometimes it will work for a whole day then it wont turn on for a week.

When it does turn on it seems that the temp and everything is pretty on point but again it just sorta works when it wants to.

Has anyone had any experience with these overhead consoles and any troublesome wire issues they may have? It kinda seems like a bad connection somewhere along the line.

 

sounds like you have the right idea. Check all the connections at the console and follow them all the way down the pillar.

 

Now I am not sure if this will help but what you are describing may be the same as this and it is a simple fix.
