Default Turn signal issues - need help

Have a 2000 Cherokee XJ I am having troubles with. The emergency blinkers and turn signals sometimes start to work then are just stuck on. I am able to turn them off its the fact that they won't blink. Any ideas? My ignition switch needs replaced could this have something to do with it.

Thanks

Flasher relay under steering wheel, replace 10A fuses for each side turn signals . Sounds stupid but, I worked for me.

I had a similar issue, caused by a corroded fuse socket.

There is a part called a flasher relay that is way up under the driver's side dash that was the culprit for me a couple years ago. It's gotta be about a $15 part, just kind of a pain to replace. IIRC you need to remove the drivers knee plate (?) and then reach up under and wiggle it loose, then put the new one in the same way. Sucks if you have big hands. Someone on here probably knows the right way to get to that.
