I have a 1988 MJ with a 2001 xj swap

everything is stock out of the donor xj. I have an issue with the a/c clutch not turning on nor is the electric fan. This has just recently happened…

I have checked all fuses, replaced relays, replaced coolant temp sensor and I will replacing the low pressure switch. I have also verified the fan motor is good.



so what now??? I’m lost, please help!

 

Does the A/C have pressure in it and you can jump the low pressure switch to see if it turns on , and there should be a high pressure switch also.

 

Even if the AC pressure is wrong, the AC clutch should still kick on once right after a cold start. It then makes its decisions based on the pressure switches.

 

Does the electric clutch work at all if you just connect 12v to the clutch control wire?
