Default Electric fan not turning on - Slight overheating?

Hey guys,

My 95' cherokee was over heating a bit today. Come to find out, I was very low on coolant. My radiator cap was leaking, so I replaced that, and threw in more coolant. Over heating issue gone.

But I noticed that my electric fan isn't kicking in. Where is the sensor located for this thing? It is still running a tad hotter then it should, at just a bit above 210.

Any suggestions/tips would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks,
Adrian

Fan on at 218F coolant temp or when a/c compressor is engaged. Pull the elec. plug at the t-stat housing and fan should turn on.

Well, I haven't checked much or worried about the electric fan much because its been cooler here in south Florida.. but now that summer is here, I gotta get this thing fixed.

So, what do I do to get this electric fan working again? Where is the temp. sensor located at for the fan?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The coolant temp sensor screwed into the thermostat housing. If you unplug the connector the fan should come on.
(don't leave it that way, the PCM uses that sensor for other functions, not just the fan)
If it does not, check the fuse and relay in the PDC.
