Default Fuel sender unit ?

I have a 92 comanche 4.0 will a 90 comanche 2.5 fuel sender unit work in the 92 if I swap the fuel pumps?

Look both parts up, if there same part number your good to go.

The sending unit will work but you will have to switch the pump to the 4.0L one.

Ok so it won't matter if it came from a renix jeep to a no renix jeep? Been getting conflicting answers on the web.

ALL the Mjs were AMC/Renix except the last year could be had with a ChryCo H.O.4.0L is yours Renix 4.0 or H.O.?

It will work Aslong as you use the fuel pump from your specific year...if not it will not provide the correct pressure to run your engine....it can run either lean or rich with the incorrect one..

Beat me to it. Yes, you will be fine. That's a Renix style pump. Just install your 4.0L pump to the unit.

I finally got around to fixing this today look at what the previous owner made for the fuel sender our lack there of.

Had to do some minor fab and mix and mach parts between the 1986 long bed sender and my custom 1992 short bed sender but it looks factory the only problem is my fuel gage reads backwards now but it's better then not working at all.
